Hot Plate - New City & Colour Single/ Fragile Birds -

It is undeniable ... I'm a fan of City & Colour! Especially because these songs remind me of my first moments with my man and also because Dallas Green live is even better LIVE than in studio tracks. This new single from his upcoming album "Little Hell » (Due next June), sounds more and more like a C&C live show! Adios Dallas and only but only his guitar (or almost)! Hello Dallas, his guitar and loud drum! I have great expectations for this third album and I am pretty sure I will not be disappointed at all!

C’est indéniable… Je suis une fan de City & Colour! Surtout parce que ces chansons me rappellent mes premiers instants avec mon amoureux mais aussi parce que Dallas Green sonnent encore mieux live que dans ses enregistrements studio. Ce nouveau single, tiré de son prochain album « Little Hell » (sortie prévue en juin prochain), a de plus en plus des airs de C&C en show! Adios Dallas et seulement mais seulement sa guitare (ou presque)! Bonjour Dallas, sa guitare et « loud drum »! J’ai beaucoup d’attentes envers ce troisième album et je crois que je ne serai pas du tout déçue!

Curioser and Curioser - Zema chef d’oeuvre at Rachel Rachel in Montreal -

I know! I know! I showed you some work of art from this brilliant brunette not so long ago but how can I resist the temptation of showcasing this magnificent piece. Sexy/ Boudoir was the request from the people at Rachel Rachel, a trendy new brewery in Montreal. Well! Well done sister!

Je sais! Je sais! Je vous ai récemment parlé des chefs d’oeuvres de cette brunette pétillante mais pouvais-je vraiment résister à la tentation de vous présenter cette magnifique pièce? Sexy/ boudoir était la demande des gens de chez Rachel Rachel, une nouvelle brasserie très achalandée en ce moment à Montréal. Et bien! Un autre bon coup de cette chère Zema!!!

Yesterday, it was the birthday of one of my favorite artist. I like her art for a long time now and I had the chance to recently meet her in person at one of our girls night out! NO disappointment, she is just like what her art reflects! Most of her work manage to pleased both sides of my personality; the princess who can beat the hell out of you! And I think this can describe her as well. I also really enjoy the cynical aspect of her work who flirts with a dark kind of humor. Zema is the kind of girl who can take up different types of challenges. As a multidisciplinary artist, she can easily indulge in duties of artistic director or spray cans on a concrete wall. What an inspiration she is!

Hier, c’était l’anniversaire d’une de mes artistes favorites. J’apprécie ses oeuvres depuis déjà longtemps et j’ai récemment eu la chance de la rencontrer en personne à l’une de nos soirées de filles. AUCUNE déception, elle est ce que son art reflète! La plupart de ses oeuvres réussissent à plaire aux deux facettes de ma personnalité; La petite princesses qui peut botter bien des derrières si nécessaire! Et je crois bien, que cette phrase la décrit tout autant. Le côté cynique, une sorte d’humour sombre, de ses pièces vient tout autant me chercher. Zema est le genre de fille à qui on peut lancer différent type de défis. Étant une artiste multi-disciplinaire, elle peut facilement se complaire dans des tâches de directrice artistique qu’à bombarder de peinture un mur de béton. Une inspiration quoi!

Just like my friend from Mcoeur, this girl is totally my new favorite illustrator!!! Native from Trois-Rivières, she studied animation in MTL and fashion illustration in NY. She now works as a fashion and children book illustrator. Her creations are for sale on etsy.com.

Curioser and Curioser – The art of Cat Bijou –

Recently I had the chance to meet with two wonderful tattoo artists, Cat Bijou and Vero from Tattoo Mania II. Both talented, funny and with an amazing personality, I instantly connected with those two tattooed ladies. In a previous post I introduced you to Vero’s pin-ups and now it is time for you to get introduce to Bijou’s art. Tattooing for more than 8 years, she is influenced by her traveling, the surf culture, metal music, street art and the artistic people who crosses her path. As you can see in the pictures above, her style is really influenced by traditional American. Let her work speaks for itself and charmed you!

J’ai récemment eu la chance de rencontrer deux artistes de tatouage incroyable, Cat Bijou et Véro de Tattoo Mania II. Les deux sont talentueuses, drôle et avec une personnalité épatante, j’ai immédiatement connecté avec ces deux dames tatouées. Dans un post précédent, je vous ai présenté les pin-up de Véro et il est maintenant temps de vous faire découvrir l’art de Cat Bijou. Tatouant depuis environ 8 ans, elle est influencée par ses voyages, la culture surf, la musique métal, l’art de rue et la plupart des gens artistique et talentueux qui croise son chemin. Comme vous pouvez le voir sur les photos ci haut, son style est fortement influencé par l’art américain traditionnel. Laissons son travail parler de lui même et vous charmer!
